Last Sunday (Oct. 19) Bob Combs and John DeWalt participated in the Potomac Heritage 50K Trail Run in Washington DC. This run is organized by the Virginia Happy Trails Club and allows runners the opportunity to receive bonus points for completing various tasks such as consuming doughnuts, anchovies, and spam, naming countries in a bizarre geography game, hula hooping, and other unreported tasks. This year bonus points were also awarded for various other things including volunteering in addition to running, getting very lost, but still going the distance, and giving the race director gifts.
