NEO Trail Member Tanya Cady is the Race Director of this Event. The proceeds of this race goes to the Fisher House in Cincinnati, Ohio. A Fisher House™ is "a home away from home" for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes are normally located within walking distance of the treatment facility or have transportation available. The Fisher House in Cincinnati gave Diana Shivers a place to stay while Regis Shivers Sr was having treatments and care at the VA Center.

NEO Trail Members Dan Bellinger, Lloyd Thomas, Eric Deutsch, Dave Peterman, Carole Krus were among the brave volunteers who stood out in the cold weather to help. Roy Heger also helped mark the course the day before running. Bill Wagner helped Tanya sweep the course afterwards.
